High-speed axial fans are with mechanical gear drive for SVG-256-4 cell-type cooling tower constructed instead of chimney-type cooling tower by “Ecotep” (Saint-Petersburg) in “Severstal” JSC. Due to high speed of fan rotation frequency, necessary performance rate has been achieved, and all fans power consumption summarized of 440kW has not exceeded the limits set by the customer. The fans are controlled by a frequency drive.

The project was implemented in 2014.
